Chevrolet Mystery Model in the Works

Jeff D'Ambrosio Chevrolet in Oxford in Oxford, PA has very exciting news; Chevrolet is developing an entirely new model. What do we know about it? Close to nothing. As anticlimactic as this announcement might sound, we're actually extremely enthused to know so little. Why? Because it leaves room for a whole range of possibilities...many of which Chevrolet has already hinted at.

For one, we do know that the upcoming Chevy model will find itself in both NASCAR and street-legal form. Destined to replace the current Impala used by Team Chevy, the mystery mobile will take an entirely new name. Jim Campbell, Vice President of Chevrolet performance vehicles, explains, "We are keeping the wraps on the new car for now and will continue to prepare for next season by testing camouflaged vehicles."1

Under wraps the new Chevrolet performance/production offering might be, but that doesn't mean eager enthusiasts aren't throwing out well-informed speculations. Based off comments by Chevrolet officials, we're guessing the model will be a high-performance rear-wheel drive sedan. Many suggest it will take its underpinnings from the Chevrolet Caprice police car or perhaps an updated version of the discontinued Corvette V8-powered Pontiac G8 GXP.

No matter what form or face the new Chevrolet model ends up taking, Jeff D'Ambrosio Chevrolet in Oxford will round up all the vital details after it catches the public eye in April. In the meantime, we encourage you to send your best guesses our way. Each and every one of our team members loves nothing more than engaging in discussion surrounding new Chevrolet vehicles.
