Chevy Unveils the ZL1 and All its Glory

Chevy has been showing evocative images of the revamped Camaro ZL1 for what seems like an eternity now. Hoping to draw even more appeal, they've also been hinting at the ZL1's competitor-trouncing power. Key word: hinting. When it comes to the launch of new cars, automakers can be such a tease, and Chevrolet is no exception.
However, Chevy has recently capitalized on the flood of anticipation, finally providing some of the details we've been waiting to hear. GM has officially announced the 2012 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 will deliver 580 horsepower and 556 pound-feet of torque.
To put the ratings into perspective, "The Camaro ZL1 delivers supercar performance and technology in the sports-car segment. For sheer power, the ZL1 delivers more horsepower than a Ferrari 458, more torque than an Aston Martin DB9 V12, and better power-to-weight ratio-than a Porsche 911 Carrera GTS." Al Oppenheiser, Cheif Engineer, Chevrolet says .1
Chevy created this intoxicating driving experience by fitting the new ZL1 with the most prominent engine the Camaro fleet has ever seen.
Chevy promises ZL1 drivers the choice of two different transmissions - a six-speed manual engineered with three different modes for enhanced driver involvement, or a straight-forward six-speed automatic. The Camaro ZL1 also incorporates both Performance Traction Management (a five-mode traction control system) and Magnetic Ride Control (a tri-setting system aimed at adjusting damping).
Luckily, the Camaro ZL1 is expected to arrive at dealerships including Jeff D'Ambrosio Auto Group, located at 1221 E Lancaster Ave, Downingtown, PA 19335, in early 2012. We at Jeff D'Ambrosio Auto Group promise to ease your desperation and let you know as soon as it arrives. In the meantime, we invite you to explore our current 2011 Chevrolet Camaro fleet, online.
