2012 Chevrolet Camaro Gains Unexpected Recognition

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has completed its testing and the results are in. With a 5-star, impeccable rating across all six test categories, this year's safest vehicle is the 2012 Chevrolet Camaro.

Now, if you're anything like the Chevy fans at Jeff D'Ambrosio Chevrolet, you're probably sitting there a bit perplexed at this new information. As long as we can remember, the sporty Camaro coupe has stood for wild horsepower, smoldering burnouts and quarter-mile times, none of which you'd think to associate with the notion of "safe." But for the 2012 model year, masterminds at Chevrolet have worked hard to create a model that delivers all of the thrill with none of the risk. While fourteen other models were also given 5-star safety ratings, the Camaro is the first to receive the rating across all of the following categories:

-          Driver frontal barrier crash
-          Passenger frontal barrier crash
-          Driver side crash
-          Passenger side crash
-          Rollover
-          Overall

Furthermore, the NHTSA made testing procedures even harder this year, making our favorite automaker's feat even more impressive. Whether you're drawn in by the new Camaro model's safety rating, its power, or both, feel free to stop by Jeff D'Ambrosio Chevrolet, 2158 Baltimore Pike Oxford, PA 19363 and test one today. If you're in the market for something a little less sporty, you can always check out any of our other new Chevrolet models as well.
