2012 Chevrolet Malibu Revealed

The 2012 Chevrolet Malibu is ready to hit to dealership lots! It kind of looks like a beefed-up version of the Chevrolet Cruze. The new Malibu is loaded with better design features, safety options and engine choices.
"The current Malibu has...changed the way people think about Chevrolet," said Rick Scheidt, vice president of Chevrolet marketing. "This all-new Malibu delivers on the intangibles of today's Malibu but gives customers even more: more style, fuel efficiency, content and features, craftsmanship, and dynamic capabilities rivaling high-end sedans."
There is no V6 option in the next generation Chevy Malibu. Don't worry, new models will use an even more fuel-efficient and powerful 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine coupled to a six-speed automatic. GM says a majority of current Malibu buyers mostly opt for the four cylinder. This may seem like a let down to those looking for V6, but this is pretty much the latest trend in automotive, so get used to turbocharged 4-cylinder.
Here's the rundown of what else comes with 2012's Chevy Malibu:
- Expressive exterior design with a wide, athletic stance.
- Better aerodynamics. Chevy says they are almost as good as those of the Chevrolet Volt.
- A "classy" interior with more room and premium materials.
- Chevrolet MyLink connectivity system aimed at competing with the Sync system.
- European-influenced ride and handling traits.
- Ten air bags and other safety touches like ultra-high-strength steel, lane departure warning/forward collision warning and rearview camera system.
Check out the all new Chevrolet Malibu soon at Jeff D'Ambrosio Chevrolet in Oxford, PA.
